Mail on iOS not formatting web links properly

Hi all

I've had this problem for quite a while now and I had assumed Apple would have fixed it with iOS 5.1, but alas not! The problem is that sometimes, links in emails aren't formatted properly so I can't just tap them to open the associated website. Sometimes if I copy and paste the whole link into the Safari address bar, it'll work, but other times this still won't work. I then have to resort to a laptop or desktop to open the link. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem and if there's a fix?
