Mail problem

I've just upgraded to 10.7.4 using the combo updater. Since I've done that, Mail won't remember the passwords for either my hotmail or gmail accounts, even though I'm ticking the remember in the keychain option.

It's prompting me for passwords for both accounts every few minutes and driving me crazy.

Has anyone else had this problem? What's the fix?
