Hi all,

I'm on Mavericks 10.9.4, with Mail 7.3 and for the last days I've been having problems with an account. Last week it used to work, but suddenly I found myself with a lighting bolt symbol beside the account, not being able to receive or send mail. I tried to delete the account, quit mail and create it again but to no avail. It's a IMAP account and the problem is the login wasn't successful due to username/password errors. I'm able to connect to the webmail with the same username/password though, so it can't be that. All the other accounts - gmail, yahoo - work perfectly.
Any ideas/suggestions?

It's a zimbra webmail - the problem is identical to the one described in your link, except mine is IMAP. It worked until last week and then it started having problems. Deleting the account, quitting mail, and recreating it didn't solve anything. And I can't rebuild it.

Does anyone have any idea?

Contact the email provider/explore their support web site. I don't doubt the username and password you're using are correct. Still, Mail is not accessing the mail servers by the same route their webmail interface does (webmail is on the provider's internal network, Mail has to go through firewalls, etc.). Login authentication may be handled by a different process. Also, make sure your IMAP and SMTP settings match their currently-posted settings.

Anyway, you may get a touch more info by running Connection Doctor (Mail > Window drop-down menu).
