Mail problems

Hi
I have an iphone4 and having problems sending mail. I can receive it without a problem, but as soon as I try to send it I get an error message saying

"A copy has been placed in your Outbox. No password provided. Please go to mail account settings and enter a password"

I have already put my password in in the mail settings.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

Maybe your server settings aren't configured correctly.

Well don't I feel like an idiot!

I had the outgoing mail settings wrong in the server settings.
