Situation:

I create a document in pages, use outline in a section,

1. text
2. text
3. etc...

I copy and paste into mail and viola, all formatting gone. Any way to keep formatting?

If your only prior experience with Apple computers was the Apple ][e, then you have no experience with the Mac. It would appear that you switched from Apple's ProDOS to MS-DOS or PC-DOS and then migrated to Windows with the rest of the MS-DOS user base. Many Windows users followed similar paths.

Welcome to the Mac.

Save it as a .pdf and attach it to the email.

Not an alternative, I email frequently to clients and architects using the outline format for work related questions etc., then they respond back with numbered answers. Its the only work habit from Outlook that I miss.

And Entourage is not an option because I use Daylite which integrates with mail.app.

Seeing as there are all kinds of plugins and scripts out there for customizing mail, I was wondering if there is one to do this.
