I noticed that on every sent email [Mail] there's a little photo in the top right of the messages. I don't use stationery, and my signature is text only. It's goofy looking and I want to get rid of it, but can't seem to find any way to do so.

Please advise!

Thanks in advance...

Describe the photo. Where on the top right? In the email body or the from/date/to section?

If it's from the latter, it's the pic you assigned to your name in address book. It's a feature of mail, it's not an attachment that got sent out. If you have pictures attached to people in your address book and they email you, you'll see the pic in the email they sent to you in the top right as well.

So, to further clarify... the photo you see does NOT get sent out with every email. It is only an identifier that you see on your mac, if you have a photo assigned to a contact in your Address Book.

I have no idea where the pix is...it only shows up in the emails in my sent folder...it's a nest w/ robbin's eggs in it. I don't have any pix in my address book. I will check to see if it's goind out--but it appears only on the messages I've sent. I hope it's not going out...

OK, I sent an email to someone and they did not get a pictures...altho there IS a pix on the message in my sent folder. Yikes! how do I get rid of these things?

[thanks]

Open Address Book. Select your name and see if that same picture appears to the left of your name on your address card. To get rid of it, click Edit then select the picture and see if pressing the delete key clears it. I did this myself a while ago and don't exactly remember what got it to clear. Hope that helps!
