I really screwed up just now. I decided to use the Mail application for OS X for the first time. Even though I unchecked the "remove copy from server after retrieving a message" box in preferences, all my email was removed from the Gmail server. I constantly need to access my old emails from different locations. This is probably a stupid question but is there any way to return my email to the Gmail server?

Thanks,
Jeff

I assume this is with a POP account? Maybe you can set up an IMAP account through Google? It might give you an option to merge all the mails on both Mail and Gmail? Then again, it might just delete everything on your computer too, it'd be worth looking into.
