mail sender address invalid

I've had my iphone for about 10 months, and it has been working fine. But a couple of weeks ago, I tried sending an e-mail from my phone, and it said the "sender address was invalid". I still receive e-mails, but can't send them! How do I get to the point where I can start sending e-mails again? Help!!!

It sounds like your SMTP server is having problems. Contact the e-mail provider to see if you need to start using a different server or authenticate with a username and password.
