Hi,
I've been setting up snow leopard server to host my website, ical, address book and email. The server has a static public IP and the domain is setup with 123 reg as the following:
A Record: @ - public static IP (e.g. 80.11.46.55)
A Record: mail - public static IP
A Record: www - public static IP
MX Record: mail.domainname.com. (incl. full stop) - Priority 10
The website works no problem, the server page is accessible at http://www.domainname.com:85 and E-mails can send out from the server but they are only received when sent in the following format:
mailbox@servername.domainname.com
I want it to receive as mailbox@domainname.com
I'm guessing this is an DNS/MX record issue but I'm stuck! Not sure if the problem lies at the 123 reg stage or on the server.
I have forwarded the ports for Web, IMAP, POP and SMTP on my router to the server's internal IP (192.168.1.50)
Can anyone offer assistance please?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
