    I've been setting up snow leopard server to host my website, ical, address book and email. The server has a static public IP and the domain is setup with 123 reg as the following:

    A Record: @ - public static IP (e.g.
    A Record: mail - public static IP
    A Record: www - public static IP

    MX Record: (incl. full stop) - Priority 10

    The website works no problem, the server page is accessible at and E-mails can send out from the server but they are only received when sent in the following format:

    I want it to receive as

    I'm guessing this is an DNS/MX record issue but I'm stuck! Not sure if the problem lies at the 123 reg stage or on the server.

    I have forwarded the ports for Web, IMAP, POP and SMTP on my router to the server's internal IP (

    Thanks in advance,

    you need MX records in addition to A records: IN MX 5 IN MX 10

    You can test by substituting your domain for

    $ dig -t MX

    ; <<>> DiG 9.6.0-APPLE-P2 <<>> -t MX
    ;; global options: +cmd
    ;; Got answer:
