I'm having a problem I can't find my way out of: My Mail smart folders are overwriting each other on different machines.

I've upgraded both my home and work computers to 10.8 and I have iCloud on both to sync contacts, documents, etc. I have mail unchecked. My work computer has only work accounts in Mail (I do personal email via web interface) and my home computer has only personal accounts in Mail (work via web interface, again).

When I installed 10.8 on the work computer, I discovered it overwrote the many smart mailboxes I'd created on my personal computer with the smart mailboxes from work. I double checked to make sure mail was unchecked in iCloud preferences and recreated some of my personal smart mailboxes. Now, at work I discover those have overwritten the smart mailboxes on my work computer. Not a good cycle.

There are no email accounts in common, mail is unchecked in iCloud preferences on both machines. What is syncing these mailboxes and how do I stop that syncing?

(I'm not even sure if this is the correct subforum...maybe the Mountain Lion or Mac Apps forums.)

Thanks,
bagelche
