Mail SMTP server issue

Hi, I've tried sifting through the endless support pages and threads on Apple and none of them seem to be working.
I have a MobileMe account (bought it about 5 months ago when it was .Mac) and neither the smtp.mac.com nor the smtp.me.com are working to send email from Mail.app.
I can send mail if I log onto me.com, but that's a pain in the ass, especially for the cost of the service. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

PS I know this belongs in the MobileMe section, but with 11 people viewing I'd rather take the chance of getting a real answer even if it comes with getting flamed.

You'll want to make sure your port and authentication is correct. Mine works with the settings found in this kb article:

I tried that one already, and still nothing.
I have no idea why nothing is working, it's kind of ridiculous.
