Mail unread in Yosemite but read in iOS 8

Hello,

So ever since I've updated from Mavericks to Yosemite I've been experiencing issues with the Mac Mail.

Every single new e-mail I get is marked as unread when it drops into my mailbox.

However on my iPhone every single e-mail is marked as read when it drops into my iPhone. Pretty much like I've opened it on my mac and it just loads it to my iPhone when i open the app.

And also if I do read a e-mail on the iPhone the e-mail is still marked as unread when I got back on my Mac.

This is beginning to be a little frustrating so I was hoping some of you hade experienced the same issue and maybe knew a fix? 😀
