I've got my iPhone next to me, and my mail is coming thru on that way before the iPad. Anyone noticing this? Both are set to push on gmail and 15 minute fetch...
Gmail push came out late last year. It's not perfect but it's always worked well enough on the iPhone.I don't believe that push currently works on the iPhone and iPad for gmail, only for yahoo, MobileMe, and exchange. Your iPhone is fetching before the iPad, it's probably a coincidence that it gets emails sooner. I have gmail on push and fetch on my MacBook pro and my iphone still gets emails sooner.
Oh sorry, I meant off of the Fetch New Data screen, there should be advanced. Maybe only if you have two accounts, but mine inside the Advanced tab says push.Fetch new data = push. I don't have an advanced button off the "mail" setting. Hmm...!
You don't know what you're talking about.Sorry, but iPhone and iPad still cannot handle push gmail.
Got it! My choices were only fetch or manual. I have 2 gmail accounts set up. It was set on fetch.Oh sorry, I meant off of the Fetch New Data screen, there should be advanced. Maybe only if you have two accounts, but mine inside the Advanced tab says push.
