Mail window keep popping up in split screen

For some reason, Mail app pops up in split window with the current active application, OK, Firefox, I haven't seen it with other apps, I think. It happens even when I'm not at the computer. Every now and then, perhaps once a day. Started after 10.15.6. Pops up from "minimized", I keep mail hidden most of the time.
Anyone else?

Yep. It happens to everyone else. Welcome to the club. It’s been going on since High Sierra for me. I use outlook because of it. No real fix for it as of yet but maybe we’ll see something in Big Sur.

So it's some kind of bug, then? And only happens with Mail?
Strange. I was on HS for a long time, and Catalina since february, and I never saw it before. Please let me know if you know of a discussion about this. Thanks.

Here’s a link for a potential fix referencing the bug. It maybe actually only started in Mojave for me but I can’t really remember when to be honest. I switched over to the Outlook almost immediately after setting up my Mac.
