iPad mini MAIL won't go into portrait mode

But everything - safari etc -- does portrait and landscape. Never had this problem with my ipad 1,2,3. What's up?

I've had this on numerous iPads, including my mini. When you rotate it doesn't change orientation, you need to go into the multitasking bar and completely lose it. It's very annoying that it still does it.
