can i just ask, does everyones Mail have a delay of 2 or 3 seconds before the activity monitor comes up and it checks for mail..?

i know 2 or 3 seconds seems a minor thing to get worked up about, but it doesn't feel right. i was wondering if it might be something to do with the way i have it set up.

any advice appreciated. even if it is to tell me that their is exactly the same and it's nothing to worry about.

Well, my Mail has been working fine since the update.. however, one time the clock thingy never completed all the way around after about 60 seconds, so I just quit Mail. So I guess it did get screwed up a bit considering one time Mail wouldnt "update" my new emails.

I've been having no luck connecting to a stupid exchange server since the update. This is kinda a problem, as it's a work address.
