Suddenly I see this in the emails and the pictures (icons) in the mail are not shown (just ?? shown). When I click on Load Content Directly , it is ok again. Why is this happening ?? I do not see anything in network preferences that could cause it and change it.

No, it is just bad ... (and started happening some time ago). Seeing for example an eshop order with products preview just with "?" at each one and only after manually clicking on "Load content " you can finally see the photos to see the previews is simply terrible and makes no sense. And sometimes you just 2 of them and 5 not (before clicking). Who could ever create something like this ??

Any way to avoid this sheer nonsense ? With every single email !!

In my opinion, it is not good (security wise) to load remote content with emails, as most of the time, they have embedded tracking etc. I also have my email set to only show text. I get the message the OP is complaining about in Monterey. I just ignore it. I do have "Protect My Mail Privacy" enabled.

It has nothing to do with any "security", it is just nonsense , especially when you have few (the same) previews and one is loaded and one not. Anyway - there should be an option to behave such a behaviour and to choose what I want - we are not slaves ?

It does have to do with security. If you don’t want to use it, turn it off and make sure load remote content is enabled in the mail app. Problem solved.

As I said, I have all these unselected (it was never selected), yet it happens all the time. Problem not solved ... Is there something else to enable somewhere else ?

But still it does not work in either way. It should either hide all or nothing. But showing 3 and the rest not is just nonsense.
