Mail

The majority of my mail is received via Mail. I have a google mail account basically because i liked the feature of having the display in the menu bar which can quickly tell you if you have any mail.
1. Does mail have the option of displaying your inbox in the menu bar?
2. If not, can i get emails sent to Mail to display in Google mail in the menu bar?

Perhaps 2 stupid questions but i'm sorry - still learning.

I've seen 3rd party apps that will display Mail's unread email count...search around versiontracker.com

but what's the difference between it showing in the menubar and it showing on Mail's icon on the dock?

Thanks i'll check it out. It's just personal pref i suppose. I have dock hidden so would prefer to see in menu bar - lazy really. Again, thanks
