I have a late 2013 MBPr 13", there isn't a single mark on it.
I use a keyboard cover for light use, like writing, but take it off if I'm doing anything that makes the fans kick in, such as rendering video. I take it off when I close the computer.
I clean the screen with a soft dry cloth (I get these from my optician, I have 5 pairs of glasses to maintain as well), and wipe the outside and the trackpad areA with a slightly damp cloth.
I run it on battery at least once a week, repair permissions before doing Time Machine and Carbon Copy Cloner backups, and turn it off at least once a week.
And carry it in a soft lined shoulder bag.
At a desk, i use external keyboard and trackpad, but mostly don't use it at a desk.
That's it, looks perfect, and no problems so far.
