Well, as far as bands that are supported 1524 has all that 1522 has plus more (as it says on the page "Models A1586 and A1524 also support LTE networks listed for models A1549 and A1522.").

As far as what carriers that are supported (or perhaps authorized to work with), it's basically the list from the Apple page.

So the 1524 with the 4 other bands basically will not work with att verizon or t-mobile in the US?

If it was originally locked to a provider (like Sprint) and then unlocked, then it will with the GSM providers (like AT&T or T-Mobile and many others), but might not with CDMA providers (like Verizon). If it was originally sold as an unlocked SIM-free version from Apple, then it should work with any of them.

So the 1524 unlocked would be the phone to get for gsm/CDMA ect and use on all 4 main carriers.

Right. Basically as mentioned before, the unlocked SIM-free version that Apple sells (which in the case of the iPhone 6 Plus appears to be the the A1524 model).

Model A1524 (GSM)
Model A1524 (CDMA)

Now what's difference or is it used for both GSM and CDMA use?

What's the difference in following?

Model A1524 (GSM)
Model A1524 (CDMA)

Or is the Model A1524 used for either GSM or CDMA?

I use to live in KY and the Only carrier really was Bluegrass Cellular and I guess this is the model they used and on it would say bluegrass or extended and once in awhile VERIZON would pop up on it LOL so just asking I want to bring it to straight talk prob under att or for VERIZON that's why am asking these question about it being an unlocked and working on all carriers vrz, sprint, att, t-mobile ect....

So the

Model A1524 ( GSM )
Model A1524 ( CDMA )

Are same or what? And can either be used on Sprint as well as Verizon and Straight Talk and which would be beer for those carriers as well as being used on AT&T as well as T-Mobile? And why?

Yes, as explained earlier.

Which is better choice and why?

Model A1524 ( GSM )
Model A1524 ( CDMA )

And why a GSM and CDMA version of this model, just trying to understand differences.

And which would be best to go from one carrier to another and have all bands as well, especially using it via straight talk and choosing from GSM vs CDMA for use on verizon/sprint vs t-mobile/att.

Technically, the A1524 (GSM) and A1524 (CDMA) is just the same hardware (likely marketed differently). What you do want to get is the Factory Unlocked, SIM-free version from Apple as that one is supposed to work with all four major carriers in the US. I'm not sure if that's the "GSM" or "CDMA" model, but the SIM-free version works with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Well, again, as mentioned in some previous posts, the best version is the SIM-free unlocked version from Apple which is compatible with essentially any of the carriers you mentioned.

Theirs a T-Mobile or Sim Free when going through picking out non carrier version.

So the Sim-Free is it I guess.

I'm not really sure why the 1522 model exists at all, but as mentioned, the 1524 is the device you want if you're paying full price anyway

No, the best model is the "Sim-Free" model as listed on the apple site. I will support the most bands in both the US and abroad.

Sprint uses the Model A1524 right and is it now unlocked? Or do they still lock it?
