Major lag with TV app on an Air 2

Anyone else have major lag on the TV app? I get it when scrolling and especially when switching the drop down between movies, TV, and downloads. The A8X just isn't cutting it anymore. But it's still a great tablet considering it is now almost 3 years old.

I seen much lag with my iPad Air 2,especially with graphic-intense functions like streaming TV/video apps and large games. Some of it is of course caused by slow internet connection,but some is clearly caused by the tablet itself. High resolution video is a real lag source for most mobile devices like cellphones,iPads and similar.
My solution was to use my MBPr for TV/movie watching.
