They don't give you a choice anymore. They have enhanced the new boot camp process. In the past you used to have to partition the drive and go through a variety of steps to install windows and the drivers. It was very manual. Now once you partition the drive Apple automatically reboots into Windows and installs the drivers. If you uninstall the Intel driver Windows recognizes it and immediately downloads the updated driver. The interesting thing is if I boot into Safe Mode the flickering issue goes away. I believe it is a driver issue.

UPDATE: I turned off the internet on my computer and uninstalled/deleted the Intel Graphics Driver from my computer. The flickering has officially stopped. The downside to this is the icon and font sizes are all over the place. Once I rebooted my computer, Windows reconnected to the internet, downloaded the Intel Driver and the flickering started again. It is definitely a driver issue!

Does the flickering happen on a fresh Windows 10 install before you install the bootcamp drivers? Or is it only after you install Apple's drivers that you experience the issue.

Could also try intel's beta drivers to see if it is actually a chipset driver issue or not. http://ark.intel.com/products/91166/Intel-Core-i5-6267U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_30-GHz#@downloads

But if it's flickering before you even install bootcamp drivers, I'd suspect a firmware update would be needed to fix it.

As already noted you don't have a choice but the flickering does start right away, even before it gets around to installing the BC drivers.

Here's the update that I got from Apple support yesterday:

Apple has received reports of this issue, and these reports are under investigation. Engineering asked a few clarifying questions, but are not in need of additional information at this time.

Please keep us updated.
Facing this issue too. My workaround is parallels on battery! Really makes me wonder what the QA at Apple is doing... he has one job..

I received a similar response:

I have received a response from our engineering team, and this is something that is currently being investigated by Apple. We have received reports of this issue and are actively investigating the reason as to why this happens. I should get a response in the future when the issue is resolved. For now, make sure to keep your Mac updated (Both Windows and macOS), as the fix may come in the form of a software update or documentation. If I get a response in the future, I will email you and let you know of any changes.

Yes, that works for me too. Seems to be the temporary solution for now.
