They used to have those several years ago. Then they removed them. Red Lobster is a hot mess in so many ways. Mediocre food, overpriced menu, and now the back and forth on Apple Pay and nfc payments.

They used to have tablets on the tables and removed them, but it looks like it’s portable card readers brought by the servers they have now.

So Red Lobster restaurants in USA still take your card even after now accepting tap to pay and Apple Pay in 2025?
I'm more surprised that Red Lobster still even exists in 2025, as it implies people trade real money for what they call food.
Were you able to pay there with tap to pay or Apple Pay with your debit card in some Winco supermarkets in Texas?
I know that they do not accept credit cards.

More Ways to Pay: Tap to Pay Is Coming to Walmart and Sam’s Club
Beginning Aug. 24, we will be adding Tap to Pay to our payment options at select Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations, with plans to roll it out to all U.S. stores and clubs by the end of 2026 and to fuel stations by mid-2027.

I don’t shop Wal-Mart often (don’t really shop often at all) but this tells me if people are not using Tap to Pay in any flavor, they will really start now. Hardly a store will be able to operate without offering the service. Home Depot finally returned. That was the first store I used Apple Pay before they turned it off and I have avoided Wal-Mart in part due to the friction at checkout compared to my normal way of doing things. I rarely carry a wallet anymore, opting to pocket my driver’s license as needed but otherwise going with just my phone/watch. Happy to see this change.
