Would put the iPhone on the same price point as a MBP.

What I'd really like to see if full HD recording on the next iPhone with 64gb/128gb configurations :D
Won't happen but wishful thinking never hurt.

The next iPhone will probably have 64GB of storage. Who knows where Apple will source the memory from...

    Wrong kind of memory.

The iPhone and iPod touch do not use SSD type memory at this time.

As for iPhone 5, I believe that we will see a memory jump to 64GB.

Would this be faster than the flash memory currently in the iPhone?

An SSD device connects via some sort of interface, which in this case is SATA. This results in slower performance (data transfer) than Flash memory which works similar to RAM memory.
