I actually prefer the way always on looks on some of the watch faces. Is there a way that I can turn it on so that it stays on all the time. It would also save energy.

How on earth would that save energy?
It would never light up the full face. It would always just be an outline of a face. I’m sure they thought of it, and it probably doesn’t make much difference. I just prefer the darker faces.

If you move your hands/arms much and thus the display will often awake, it DOES make a different.

Got it. I thought you were saying have the screen always be "on" as it is when you're interacting with it.

I just use the dark faces. I personally really don’t like the bright white faces as I find it really distracting when it comes up. With a dark face, the transition between on and AOD is much more subtle

I do this with, as mentioned, Raise to wake off. The watch only wakes when I tap it and my testing proves that, in my case, it does save a decent amount of battery.

I will turn off raise wrist to wake and just leave always on….on. Love the look and the battery life is still amazing. I like how the watch is still interactive with AOD, not requiring the watch to be “woke” some days I turn it off. Just depends on my mood I suppose. Very nice to just use AOD without waking it.

Is it normal when it keeps showing the passcode screen when both Always On and Raise to wake is set to "On"?

Whenever I want to check the time and turn my wrist. It keeps asking me to enter the passcode first which defeats the purpose for me to check on the time quickly.

That’s definitely not normal. Maybe it’s too loose. Try to tighten it.
