This is actually a very useful thread...I saw the title and thought it was some goof trying to claim he could make his iPhone last two weeks on one charge, at first....
Now I have some good ideas for traveling lolol

The zagg device that does four charges looks great, if it isn't huge, I'll stuff it in the bottom of my backpack just in case....

If I ever get back into hiking/camping, I'm definitely getting a solar charger....

I might have missed if somebody mentioned it, but keep the phone in airplane mode, I think especially if there is a faint signal around it might be grabbing and dropping over and over, if you want to save battery.

You've probably already compiled the complete and comprehensive list on battery saving tips however, so I'll stop gabbing now :p

If you're not going to have electricity, are you going to have cell service??
I'd think you'd either need a massive battery pack or, if you can find one, one of those hand-crank chargers. You'll have very strong arms by the end of the trip, though.

haha

Post of the Day, made me smile :)

I've been on a similar trip...Our guide had a solar pack for his radio com devices that we used. If I were you, I'd be more worried about the phone not being in acceptable operating temp (between -4 and 113 F).
