make mail folder font larger

Does anyone know how to change the font size in mail; that is my folder list on the left side of the window(inbox, sent, etc)

I can see how to change other fonts, but not that one..

It's not working. In mail prefernces you should be able to change the font of the message list but when you change it it doesn't work...

yeah, I noticed that wasn't working either..

I was just trying to change the size of the inbox/sent/trash/junk and those folders, but there is nothing that allows that either..

Oh well, on the bug list to apple, I guess!

I tried as well to change the font in the new message list.......I notice in the help Apple says:

Message list font
Select the font and font size to use for viewing the list of messages (in classic layout only).

Looks like we are stuck for now with some font sizes.

Nope...haven't seen anything to change that.

I was looking for something like that in the Finder sidebar as well.....those fonts seem HUGE to me.

Ok found it......this setting controls the sidebar in Finder as well as Mail.

System Prefs -> General -> Sidebar Icon Size

You can choose Small, Medium (the default) and Large.

Not sure it's exactly what you want....but I'm happy now that I can reduce the size of those sidebar items!

That helped a little; made the icons larger, and the text slightly larger too..
now, if you could actually specify the font you want to use, I would be a happy camper!

OSX Yosemite MAIL Folder list size

Same issue of old versions. Tough to figure how to change folder list size.

Solution is: System Prefs -> General -> Sidebar Icon Size

You can choose Small, Medium (the default) and Large.

That's all.
