well a user of the speck fitted for iphone 4 commented that it feels like an iphone 3g/s since the edges is round. Read some other reviews as well on these case and a few mentioned this too.

I just got the mophie case yesterday and it does exactly what you are looking for. The one con I have is that it makes the phone a little longer, but otherwise I have been happy with my new case. Hope this helps.

im waiting for the incipio offgrid to come out...it doesnt look like it adds as much bulk as other battery cases and seems like it has a rounded back

Uncommon gallery case

I just got Uncommon gallery case and the edges are completely rounded. If you just want a band, their loop case looks like it's the same as the gallery (without the backplate). It adds a bit of extra bulk to the edges, more than Apple's bands...

I have a really odd request. Does anyone know of a case that will "round out" my iPhone 4? I really hate the 'sharp edges' of it -- and I would really prefer something that would round it out and add some curve to it for my hands. Possible similar to that "prototype" case that gizmodo found with the iPhone not too long ago.

Any one have any suggestions?

The Speck Candyshell Grip case makes my iphone 4 feel a lot like the 3gs...even looks like a 3gs from the front! LOVE it!! Unlike the regular Candyshell, the sides are completely rounded and they round out to the back of the phone. Excellent!

The elago s4 (4/4S) is quite slim and gives subtle curvature to the edges. It's not as curved as a 3GS or candyshell but does feel more rounded in hand. I have no first hand experience with the S5 for the iphone 5 though.
