Not sure if this has been posted before, but I stumbled across this while goofing around and I think this is a pretty big flaw in security for the iPhone 3GS.

You can make a phone call on a locked 3GS simply by holding down the home button to activate the voice dialing and just saying to call a number.

One reason you lock your phone in the first place is so that if you do misplace it or lose it you're at least not worrying about someone finding your phone that instant and running up a huge bill for you. Pretty dumb that you can still make phone calls on a locked phone by just activating voice dialing and speaking the number.

This can be disabled for when the screen is locked.

Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock -> Voice Dial (On/Off)

iPod voice commands will always work.
