I use my Mac to connect with Windows networking so I can view the files via my PC. A lot of times when I haven’t turned the Mac on in a while the address it is connected at on the network changes. At this point, I need to update the address for the network share folder on my PC. My problem is that the screen I’m shown in file sharing under networking toggles between showing the address and showing the network name. The way I get it to show the address (e.g. smb://192.168.2.100) is by just waiting for it to toggle back. Is there some way shortcut or keyboard command that can make this screen show this address? Thanks

Do you have admin access to your router? See if you can set up an address reservation for that computer (based on the MAC address of the network card) so that computer always gets the same address. I did this for my printer.
