Not being a smartass, that is cool. I personally don't have a use for a laptop like that, but it sounds badass. I game on console and sometimes PC (now in my signature), and I don't do high stress computing. But back to topic, surely you can appreciate the humor of this add-on, right?
It is not funny. My 2011 MBP is the end of the line.

Haha. Touche. Sorry all to go off this very important topic, but out of curiosity, what is it the 15 or 16 MBP (or your PC) cannot do that you need it to do (even with this brilliant add on)? I don't want to attempt to be your sales consultant, but curious what it is you need this thing to do?

I'd also like to hear what the new 13 or 15 inch tMBP can't do that you need.

I keep asking this question, but only two people in two weeks gave an answer specific to a performance limitation (they actually were best served by a desktop anyway).

So...let's hear it.

I needed 32GiB RAM and 2TB SSD in 2014.

Here's what I want... I want a 13" with a discrete graphics card. For the amount of money I paid, I think it's doable. Will it be as slim? Maybe, maybe not.

Okay, everybody hang on a second. I have to sift through all of the posts from people explaining how the new tMBP is hurting their workflow!

Wait...do they even have a workflow?

Maybe OWC will have the last laugh, lets wait and see as it may seem odd for many on a new device but when your MBP is 2 or more years old it may have more general appeal

Yeah. Well. What ?! What is this? Is this supposed to be a joke ?
Why not launch it for the rMB 12" too? ...

Is it me or it just adds a SD card slot?? Wouldn't it be better if it had at least some USB 3.0, ethernet, HDMI,,, I don't know.. That heavy piece of junk just to add the sd card slot? (And battery and HDD of course, but there was a kickstarter product that added all those ports already.

Don't even bother, they'll just keep talking crap without giving you an answer, because they don't have it.

I do professional 4k video editing (film and advertisement industry), and besides the desktop PC I need a laptop for mobility reasons, and I'm working pretty well on this new tbMBP, no issues yet. I need some dongles for the USB 3.0 HDD I have? yes, no problem with that. Eventually I'll get USB-C new HDD's or just get a USB 3.0 to USB-C cable. In the meantime I'll just connect this tiny adapter.

Could I use more Ram? Sure, renders would be faster, but for a laptop I'm more than happy with this.

How would I be best served by a desktop if I need a laptop?
