Yeah I did not specify when I said iTunes Store songs I was meaning songs with DRM. I just assumed that iTunes Plus would work, and that any DRM song would not.

iRinger uses a similar method, but it makes it a lot easier. The songs don't have t be 30 seconds, and you don't have to deal with AAC's in the finder.

Select your songs in iTunes and click continue and all the songs will be turned into ringtones and added to the Ringtones tab and begin playing.

It so easy.

works for me. Loving it.

umm....

iPhone does not work in the cold weather when the users hands are cold (news from Ukraine). At least 1 out of 100 Ukrainians can not use iPhone if his/her hands are cold (below 36.6C) - screen just does not respond to the touches. Interestingly, number of not working iPhone cases, especially high among Ukrainian politicians :)

what are the options with this type of technology for PC? I hate to waste my money on iTunes ringtones when programs like this exist for free.

i'm not sure

i have a pc so how do i get free ringtones for my iphone and if possible i saw this "A MacRumors forum member discovered that you can actually get free ringtones directly inside iTunes by just changing around a file extension. All official purchased ringtones have the .M4R extension, so all you have to do is rename any AAC file to a M4R file to get it to show up in iTunes under Ringtones. Sync to your phone and you're done. To delete the ringtones, you may have to go into the Ringtones folder under your iTunes music directory." can someone explain a little more in depth on how to do this.

Why use software when you can simply drag your ringtones to the ringtone folder in iTunes and sync?
I have about 10 custom ringtones that I just dropped into the folder and they work perfectly.

the programs that they are talking about do this automatically. but if you want to waste your time you can convert a song to an AAC (extension is M4A) and find that song and open preferences, then change extension to M4R. if you need a more in depth walkthrough just ask.
