G'day,
Quick Question?
I just ripped a DVD using MakeMKV, and noticed when playing in VLC that it's quite "interlacey" when there's motion.
However, if I view the file via Plex on my Mac, iPhone, or XBox, the interlace issue disappears. ???
Is this because Plex is performing some re-encoding, deinterlacing the picture?
I was trying MakeMKV again because of the ideal of not encoding the video - just ripping it - which is how I understand MakeMKV to work.
Ultimately however it's no good to me, as I ideally want a file format that works with Final Cut. but if it's also got interlace issues - that's even more "not good".
The fact that Plex seems to fix the interlace issues however has just got me perplexed.
cheers
