    Okay.

    I need to make a poster for school.

    It has to be a "debate" sort of poster.

    I just need some debate ideas, something you are very Fore or Against ...

    such as abortion ...
    etc.. but I don't want to do abortion !

    What are you fore that makes you wanna go crazy about?
    What are you AGAINST that you go crazy about!?

    Let me know!!

    -universal health care: for or against
    -driving age
    -school uniforms

    does the topic have to be political in nature? if not, think about your interests, there's usually a conflict somewhere in there, for example, baseball.

    -instant replay: good or bad for baseball
    -should yankee stadium be torn down?

    the above topics are great for school. they are classic debate issues. you'll want something that can be easily researched for both sides and something where you'll have competent/coherent arguements for both sides too.

    i remember doing capital punishment back in 8th grade and winning. :)

    you guys rock...

    you know what, i DID think about mac/vs PC and heck, why not ?? I know secretly he's a mac lover. Every time i see him on the little thinkpad in class trying to run powerpoint I find him clicking in all the wrong directions and trying to right click on the trackpad with the "two-finger" tap and he just gets frustrated like crazy!

    I think that's something he will agree with me about...

    But I'm still open to anything more you've got ! I've got till 1 PM tomorrow (wednesday) to have the finished product, im super fast in indesign and photoshop... so we shal see how this goes!

    hmm.

    How about creationsism in schools? That will lead to a great discussion/potential holy war in the cafeteria.

    I did a research paper over stem cell research, it was very easy to find sources and a great paper to put together. ;)

    A debate that's highly controversial but has a clear logical winner: Should we criminalize the use of current "illegal drugs". In fact, should they even be illegal? :p

    These are some I would do (some might be a little UK-centric)

    * National ID Cards
    * How long can you detain a suspect without charging them with a crime?
    * Capital Punishment
    * Should the government help failing companies (banks for instance)
    * Gun Control
    * Privatised health care/ railways/ schools

    I could go on but I won't

    • The effectiveness of corporal punishment, at home and at school. (This can include what legal status is most appropriate for corporal punishment, i.e. ban it or allow it.)
    • Socialism vs. Capitalism
