hi all, this time it should be a simple question....

the only way i can see how to do this is to set a window's alpha value

surely there is a clean way to just toggle between having the window open and closed right?

i saw a close method but no open method... what's the opposite of close if it's not open?

you can make it not visible when the program starts up, that's great and all, but it would be nice to make it visible on the click of a button/menu item...

nevermind, ive probably found the answer here

http://juliuspaintings.co.uk/cgi-bin/paint_css/animatedPaint/012-Show-Panel.pl

even though it's way out of date i'm sure the process is still the same

yeah, nah, the code fails
2009-04-14 16:37:35.397 <project name>[11790:10b] init OK in TheWindowController
2009-04-14 16:37:35.405 <project name>[11790:10b] -[ProjectManagerControllerUI loadWindow]: failed to load window nib file 'TheNibWindow'.

yet the sample code worked
i love how this always happens..... :(

disregard everything i said in this thread

i had a typo in the name of the xib file..... *drunk* (see i told you it was an easy question this time ;))
