Hey guys Im trying to make a bootable USB disk so I can fresh install the new Mac Os. Im following the procedure outlined in the redmond pie article, but I keep getting this message "You must specify both the volume and install application path." Not sure what Im doing wrong and seems others are having the same problem. Thanks for any help.

This is the command line Im using for you to look at!

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled —applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction &&say Done

Yes it is, but Im not positive its a capital U. I didnt change a thing and Im pretty sure it came up as Untitled

Try it with a copy and paste of this. I notice in your command in post #1 the -- after Untitled is joined into a hyphen.

Code:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction

Ill go home at lunch and fire up the computer and see! Ill get back on my progress thanks!
