While in MS Word and other programs, the dialog box when choosing from the menu is pretty small, with small type. Can these field input boxes be made larger with larger, more readable text?

For example, when I'm doing Find/Replace in MS Word, the input field boxes are very small, even though I have a 20" monitor.

Thanks!

Rather than trying to make the boxes larger in comparison to everything else, try zooming the display. Hold down control and scroll, either with a mouse ball/wheel or with two fingers on a TrackPad.

You may have to enable the Zoom feature in Universal Access (in the System Preferences) but it is a handy tool.

That would be annoying to do for every box/option that appears, though.

Yes, but it is effective and possible, whereas changing dimensions and specifications of dialog boxes likely requires modifying the code, which is somewhat less plausible for a user to undertake.

Don't get me wrong; if there is a better solution, I am happy to learn of it and tell others. In the mean time, it provides a band-aid for the problem.
