Hi guys, well my old windows PC video card crapped out and I decided i'm done with windows systems so I purchased a used iMac. I took the 1 TB hard drive out of the windows computer.

Can I just go on amazon and grab an external hard drive enclosure and pop it in there then some how format it for mac? I'm not really sure how to go about all of this.

Also, the hard drive from the windows pc says SARA 6.0 Bb/s on it. I've made an external once from an old pc but I can't remember exactly what info I needed to know when I purchased the enclosure.

Yup, you can do that. To format a drive, go into the Disk Utility (Applications->Utilities->Disk Utility), highlight the disk, partition it and format it.

Here's a KB article on it

Well that's good news! So can I just order any external enclosure off amazon? They're universal pretty much i'm assuming
