I've got a new macbook and I've divided it into two accounts. One account has all my iTunes music but the other is a fresh iTunes with no music.

I've been trying to get access to the music from the other account. It seems like it should be easy as it's already on this computer. I've tried copying the iTunes folder into the public folder and going to the other account and copying it to it but that's not working.
I've also tried sharing the files from the Sharing sys prefs. But can't get that to work.

I must be missing something simple. Help!

Thanks.

According to the books I've read, all you need to do is put the files in the Shared folder or Public folder for anyone to use it. I've tried that and the folders still have the red minus sign on them.

I've gone into Sharing Prefs and made all the files/folders read and write on both accounts. Still won't let me do it.

All I'm trying to do is make the iTunes from one account available to the other.
Seems like a no brainer.
