I've just started using jpeg 2000 files which have a .jp2 extension. At the moment OS X assigns the standard .jpg icon, but I'd like to have a different icon from the standard one for these files. I've been able to change individual files through the Get Info okay, but is there a way to globally change the icon for all of my existing .jp2 files? Also, how do I make new .jp2 files automatically associate with the new icon?

CandyBar lets you change document icons associated with all the apps on your Mac – I can't say for sure this would work for you but it may be worth a look.
