I have a problem that has been annoying the crap out of me. I want all mp3 files to be associated with iTunes. Whenever I get new music from Purevolume or from my CDs, it automatically associates it with QuickTime. I have changed the preferences in QuickTime not to associate itself with mp3 files, but that didn't seem to fix the problem. I also tried repairing permissions, no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

did you try... getting the info of a mp3 going down to 'open with', selecting itunes and hitting the change all button?

Yes I also tried that...didn't work.

i actually want the opposite of u want to do (associate all my mp3s to quicktime cuz i dont want to add every mp3 i have to my itunes library). so when i just want to hear a song i dont have to open itunes and add it to my library.

how would i do this?
im assuming this would be the same solution as associating all mp3s to itunes as well.
