I am trying to save a vmware image of my windows machine on the Mac using the vmware converter. My initial plan was to save the vmware image on the windows machine but it is too big. The converter wizard lets you choose the destination and when I go to "My Network Places" > "Workgroup" I see the name of my iMac but I cant choose it as a destination. How do I make the Mac available for the Windows machine?

It works in reverse meaning I create a share folder on the windows box and the iMac picks it up right away and I can move files back and forth.

Its probably the file system type on the Mac. Windows machines can't read or write HFS+ but Macs can read and write FAT32 and read NTFS.
