making phone calls

Hi. Does anyone know an application for Mac that lets you dial phone calls with broadband? I have tried skype but that only lets you make calls from account to account. I want something that can dial directly to a proper phone? Anything?

Doesn't Skype allow you to do this through SkypeOut. See http://www.skype.com/products/skypeout/

If you are are in the UK you can use VoIPUser http://www.voipuser.org/ ,
signing up there give you limited free international calling using any SIP compatible phone or voip application.

You have to wait a few days for you outbound account to be setup and calls are limited by 10 minutes at a time.

A good SIP phone for mac is Xlite see www.xten.com
