malformed error while editing *.plist ???

I have to make a change (deleting some lines) in a *plist file using TextWrangler and BBedit, but I'm receiving the error:

BBEdit cannot save this binary property list; it is malformed (application error code: 20022)

please help??

The best tool for editing those files is actually Apple's Property List Editor (included with the Xcode Tools on your install disk or downloadable). They are a somewhat unusual format, and some other tools may not work well with them.

Failing that, I've found OmniOutliner seems to work well with them as well.
