Man drops 27 pounds on 'Twinkie Diet' in two months

People who eat lots of junk food will take this article as an encouragement to eat more of it.

Less of it, surely?

I still reckon that 1800 calories of junk is better for you than 2800 calories of junk.

People aren't going to change from 2800 calories of fruit, veg, meat and carbs to 1800 calories of junk. I'd hope. Well if they are they'll feel awful and switch back pretty quickly anyway.

I guess I was more referring to the ratio of junk/not junk rather than overall quantity. Someone who eats junk but puts forth effort to eat good foods will see this article and go "Oh look, it doesn't matter what kind of food I eat. I just need to eat less." And then they'll eat nothing but junk.

Okay, good point.

I never really liked Twinkies, but I used to love Passion Flakies.

(Hmm, apparently it's a Canadian thing... but essentially it's a little flaky pastry apple-cherry flavoured thing. Like Twinkies, the cream filling is full of chemical goodness.)

That was 14 years ago. I can't eat them anymore. My body just won't let me.

Mmmmm.... Passion Flakies... I've loved them since they were called Fruit Flakies and came in three glorious flavours.

I remember them growing up in the US, too, although I don't remember them being called Passion Flakies.... maybe we had imitation Passion Flakies! Either that, or my grandparents were bringing them back from Canada when they visited family. I just wish I had relatives bringing Jammie Dodgers back from the UK.
