I am curious if native apps built for M1 will use less memory. I don't know how they would. I am afraid that 16GB is too little, but got one anyway. Always been the early adopter type. I only have 16GB in my MacBook Pro 2015 and it does fine.I am interested to see what people think about it. As I have posted before I am looking at getting one to replace my 10 year old iMac. I really want to hold out for 2nd generation ARM iMac but I am not not sure the current one will last 2 to 3 years.
One of the main things I went to know about is if 8 gb of ram is enough. I think it will be enough for my needs - MS Office, browsers, iTunes and Citrix Workspace.
I think 8GB will be good enough for my needs but I want to see what others say. The 256GB hard drive will be good enough for me. I was surprised how little storage I use on my current computer.I am curious if native apps built for M1 will use less memory. I don't know how they would. Mine was the 16GB/256I take it these are just the 8GB models being shipped a bit early, not the 16GB?
