Are you a man or a woman and ordered the rose gold version?

This poll is complicated by the fact that many men ordered the rose gold hoping that it'd be more copper than pink, despite the obviously pink hue in all the marketing pics on Apple's site.

im pretty sure most of those guys knew what theyre in for.... I mean, the word "rose" should've gave that away. Im a guy and I was aware of the pinkness.. And im really excited!

Some were actually in deep denial, judging from their posts in the other thread.

It's not necessarily true that "rose gold" means pink, as real rose gold (such as that found on the Edition) is actually copper.

What about all those Space Black Apple Watch marketing pictures that looked barely darker than the stainless steel? It's all about real world appearance.

That's an excellent point. Apple has a bad habit of not accurately controlling the darkness or lightness of the hue, but at least it's the same hue. E.g., Space Gray on the iPhone is a little darker than in real life and vice versa on the Space Gray watch. However, the hue hasn't really changed. Here some people were actually hoping for a different hue (i.e., copper instead of pink).

Roses are pink, violets are blue,
Rose gold iphone is pink,
No copper for you.

Roses are pink, don't like it, boohoo,
Go buy something else,
Maybe Space Grey will do.

Roses are pink, violets are blue,
If you're insecure about phone color,
No man card for you.

Rose gold is quite pink.
"Wonder if color is gay?"
Facepalms are plenty.

I just wish someone would be secure enough to buy what they want because they want it without being so insecure about what others are thinking about what they've bought. That is the core of these threads.

Suggestion for the poll: Include options for both genders ordering "other" so you can see the percentage of males buying it and the percentage of females. I think it's no secret that there's going to be more females who have it than males.

It should specify "I'm a male and ordered one for myself " and "I am a male and ordered one for my wife/GF/daughter" or all of the above ;)

I have family in Pakistan and Apple doesn't have a store there, but carriers officially sell the phones. So, there is a huge black market. The rose gold is selling for a $100 premium there. Heard the same from friends in the UAE. I guess Rose Gold was made for the East.
