I would like to know how people using the iPad here when they work on any document, word document and if that word document has bullets and formatting and stuff like that when they open the document in Apple notes or for that matter if they have used numbering or bullets in Apple notes and when they upload it on Google drive the formatting gets all disturber or even when you use Bullets and Numbering in Notes on the iPad and then open it anywhere else Google drive or in word even then the formatting gets all jumbled up. So how do guys using iPad for this particular purpose which is working on formatting and bullets on document how do you guys manage it ? Can somebody please tell me ? Thanks

Create the document in the app you’ll be using for the final version. Even uploading from Microsoft Word -> Google Docs has issues.

I generally don’t need to edit Word documents on the iPad but when I do open MS Word docs, I use Microsoft Office for max compatibility. Alas, it’s $99 a year for a Microsoft 365 Family subscription.

Normally you would create natively in those applications, either Pages, Word, Google Docs all have native iPad apps available in the App Store.

If you created something in notes that you wanted in one of these other apps, the easiest way would be to copy and paste directly from notes to the desired application. Notes uses pretty standard formatting so there shouldn’t be any issue copying a bulleted or numbered list across.

Just checked - no problem here to copy a bulleted list from Apple Notes into Pages and Collabora Office. Had to adjust the font so. Don’t use Google Docs.

Yes but when you copy from Notes to MS Office on a Windows Computer it does creat some problems.

There’s always the potential for slight formatting changes. The easiest solution is start in the application you’re likely going to paste it into. Then there won’t be any formatting issues 😁
