I have 30k+ emails in my iCloud account in the Mail.app and a bunch of attachments.....
Is there anyway to just delete the attachments to free up space?
Is there a better email client that will let me manage and delete emails.... I seem to tray and send mails to the trash and they never seem to be deleted on the server side.

    Thanks

No way to just delete the attachments.

Your other issue with messages not being deleted from the server is a configuration issue, not something specific to Mail.app. Your IMAP account settings should be tweaked so that when you delete messages in Mail they are removed from the server.
